In the “God-masoned town”, as they used to call Melnik in ancient times, perched up against one of the famous Melnik pyramids, stands the Lumparov House.

A monument of culture, it reconstructs the original house inhabited by several generations of the Lumparov family. During the latest restoration much care and attention was given to preserve each authentic element and reconstruct as truthfully as possible the typical features of the wealthy houses in Melnik – the ornate edgings and the stained glass decorations. The cellar, which extends as far as 20 meters into the rock, is one of the few fully preserved authentic landmarks of this famous wine region.
